Acorns & Oaks (Moms & Kids)

GNC's popular (formerly known as Moms & Kids program) has a fresh new name Acorns & Oaks! This is a bimonthly program that has been held at Gorman Nature Center for over 30 years! To erase doubt and confusion by the former name; Moms & Kids, Acorns & Oaks is all inclusive welcoming dads, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. The program is designed for children ages 2-6, but older and younger siblings are welcome to attend and participate on a limited basis. Activities will be focused on growth through outdoor discovery. This program is offered every Wednesday (except on holidays and during special events).

Hours have been updated:

Wednesdays at 10am from September-May
Wednesdays at 9 and 10am from June-August

Children are encouraged to bring a nature-related show-and-tell items with them each week, and adults are encouraged to add their names to our Moms & Kids email list so that they may receive program updates including: information regarding the upcoming program topic, tips and reminders for dressing appropriately for the weather, if the program will be mostly inside or outside, etc.
